What can I win?

Orbster is giving away a trip for two to the winner of the GPS Mission Beta phase.

You can win this trip to the Oktoberfest in Munich, including flight, transfer to the hotel, the hotel itself (two days) and 10 Maß (liters) of beer.

How can I win this trip to the world's largest folk festival (better to say beer festival)?

Be the owner of the "golden gamsbart" trophy (see picture) by the end of our beta phase end of July and you are the winner. The exact date will be announced at least two weeks before the end of beta phase.

To be the owner of the "golden gamsbart" trophy and thereby winner of GPS Mission Beta you must have collected more gold than any other player.

Here are the official rules for the GPS Mission Beta Phase Challenge:

There are three ways to collect gold:
  1. Play Missions
    • For each Mission you play, you can get the gold that was placed by the mission creator (max. 100 gold). So play as many Missions as possible and collect all available gold.
  2. Create missions and invite people to play your mission
    • For each of your missions that is played by others you get 50 gold. You can play your own Missions as well but you may only collect its gold once.
  3. Collect Random Gold
    • There is a lot of gold around you, anytime and anywhere. Whenever you are outside, start your GPS Mission client and you will see some gold around you on the map. It is easily collectable gold without needing to start a mission.
Caveats:
  • You can only participate in this tournament with one profile.
  • The leader of the Gold Highscore list at the exact date and time that Orbster publishes at least two weeks before will win the tournament.
  • The winner and another person of his/her favour will be invited by us to the Oktoberfest 2008 in Munich. Orbster will pay the flights from the nearest international Airport of the hometown of the winner to Munich. If there are only flights available to other German or Austrian cities, Orbster will organize the transfer to Munich. Exact date of the trip depends on flight availabilities but will be between the 20th of September and 5th of October during the week, not on weekends because seats won’t be available on weekends. Furthermore Orbster will pay two nights in an available hotel in or nearby Munich. No guarantee for a certain standard or location. Munich is booked out during the time of the Oktoberfest, so please understand that probably it won’t be a hotel close by the venue. But, Orbster will pay 10 Maß (litres) of beer as well.
  • Despite these restrictions, it will be great fun for sure!
